MBCT was developed by clinical psychologists Mark Williams, Zindel Segal and John Teasdale.
MBCT is a program for individuals who have been diagnosed with clinical depression in the past. They may have participated in several treatments, e.g. therapy and/or medication and they may have experienced at least one relapse. It requires a lot of courage and patience as well as commitment to embrace this experience and to learn to live with it. MBCT is a combined program based on CBT and Mindfulness. It is mainly developed to prevent the relapse of depression.
This program can be facilitated as a group program or offered on an individual basis. MBCT is an eight-week program teaching individuals in better managing their experience with depression and/or anxiety.
This is a program based on MBCT. It an ongoing eight-week program with weekly session of 1hr and 15 minutes.
